Tour Description:

Reindeer Feeding & Sami Cultural Experience

Join the daily feeding of a herd of over 200 reindeer! Meet your guide outside the Radisson Blu Hotel in Tromsø - look for someone wearing a green Luhkka (poncho).

After check-in, enjoy a scenic 45-minute drive to the camp, surrounded by stunning Northern Norwegian mountains. Upon arrival, a Sami guide will lead you to the reindeer fence for a unique feeding experience. Learn fascinating facts about these majestic animals while taking in views of the Lyngen Alps.

After feeding the reindeer, it’s your turn for a warm and hearty meal. Head to the Gamme (a modern-traditional Sami hut) for hot drinks and Bidos, a traditional Sami reindeer stew (vegetarian option available). Inside the cozy Gamme, your guide will share stories about life in the Arctic, Sami culture, and showcase a collection of Sami artifacts and clothing.

Tromsø Lapland was established in 2009 by authentic Sami people with long-standing reindeer herding traditions, offering the most authentic Sami experiences in Tromsø.
